We have been distributing nutritious grapefruits and mixed citrus to all of our Farms2Table farmers markets since January from our donors so everyone can enjoy the vitamin C. This recipe uses the ingredients of grapefruit, honey, ground ginger or cinnamon as a substitute and optional banana slices. Use your broiler to caramelize the natural sugar from the grapefruit. Delicious!
Grapefruit is a tropical citrus fruits known for its sweet yet tart taste. Half of a medium-sized grapefruit has 64% of vitamin C, 28% of vitamin A and amongst other nutrients RDI. Grapefruits has weight loss benefits and may help to prevent insulin resistance and diabetes.
