Recipe of the Week: Broccoli Salad


Try this simple but a classic all seasons recipe that serves as a delicious side dish for any party or a family dinner using Broccoli offered at Farms2Table's Casa Grande Farmers Market this past weekend along with bacon, onion, sugar, raisins and sunflower seeds. Refrigerate it and serve.


Broccoli is a cruciferous vegetable related to cabbage, kale, cauliflower and brussels sprouts. It is rich in antioxidants and other beneficial plant compounds offering several benefits, especially for eye health, heart health and disease prevention. Broccoli is high in many nutrients, including fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, iron and potassium.
